A Champaign man is accused of robbing a bank and leading police on a chase. The Champaign County Sheriff’s Office said that deputies responded to a hold-up alarm yesterday at Longview Bank in Sidney. Caleb Estabrook from Champaign passed workers a note demanding money. He then drove off with a large sum of money. Deputies later spotted his vehicle in the 26-hundred block of West Springfield Avenue in Champaign and began to chase him. Estabrook ended up crashing near John Street and Goldenview after hitting a patrol vehicle and then a nearby home. Estabrook was arrested on charges of aggravated fleeing and eluding and robbery.
