Decatur Updates Water Conservation Requirements
The city of Decatur is updating water conservation requirements. The city is reducing the Stage one Water Rationing to voluntary while requesting that all water customers continue water conservation efforts. The change was made due to possible rain in the forecast. Certain restrictions remain in place, including a ban on pumping water from Lake Decatur for irrigation purposes. The use of water to maintain lawns, golf courses, athletic fields, and all other vegetation is still only allowed on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
