New Domestic Violence Investigator Hired In Macon County
The Macon County State’s Attorney’s Office has a new domestic violence investigator on staff with the goal of better supporting victims. SA Diane Couri says the majority of arrests currently are domestic violence-related, and the new hire is already impacting community members. Shannon Gutierrez Seal is not new to law enforcement, having worked as a domestic violence liaison for Decatur PD for years. Gutierrez Seal says her focus is visiting with victims immediately following domestic violence incidents to ensure they get the help and resources they need.
