Trout Stock Delayed Due To Warm Illinois Weather
The Illinois Department of Natural Resources is delaying the stocking of catchable trout for the fall season. The department announced yesterday that it’s because of the unseasonably warm weather the state has experienced lately. That has delayed the cooling of lakes and ponds across the state. Stocking in waters warmer than 68 degrees could be detrimental to the trout population.
