A memorial service in Teutopolis will honor the five victims who died in the anhydrous ammonia crash two years ago in Effingham County. The multi-vehicle crash involving a semi-truck carrying ammonia happened in September 2023 on U.S. Highway 40 near Teutopolis. A single bell will begin tolling tonight for several minutes at St. Francis Catholic Church. There will be firetrucks from different agencies with their lights on to commemorate the victims.
Memorial Service In Teutopolis To Honor Victims of Anhydrous Ammonia Crash
This was taken at a church for a holiday service called Carols and Candles. The flame from the candle represents the light of Jesus Christ in a dark and evil world. This photo would be great for a candlelight vigil also or for a design for mourning or memorial.
