Woman Charged After Incident Involving DCFS In Charleston
(Charleston, IL) — A woman is charged following an incident involving the Illinois Department of Child and Family Services in Charleston. Police say officers responded Monday to the 800 block of 11th Street with investigators from the DCFS to execute a search warrant and take custody of an infant. No infant was located, and Breanna Pu Perez provided officers with false information during their investigation. Pu Perez also pushed a DCFS investigator. She was arrested on charges of aggravated battery and obstructing justice. The child was later located and safely taken into custody.
