Pritzker Signs Bills to Protect Illinois Workers
(Springfield, IL) — Illinois is taking action to strengthen union protections in the state. Governor Pritzker yesterday signed a bill package that aims to protect Illinois workers and support organized labor. The package is designed to preserve current pay standards and worker protections against federal rollbacks from the Trump Administration. The signing comes after FEMA joined several other federal agencies in canceling contracts with unions to comply with a Trump executive order saying collective bargaining requirements no longer applied to many federal agencies.
