ISP In Washington, DC, To Honor Two Fallen Troopers
(Washington, DC) — The Illinois State Police is in Washington, DC this week for National Police Week. This week serves as a time to remember those who have lost their lives in the line of duty and honor those who have served and continue to serve. ISP will be honoring Trooper Corey Thompsen and Trooper Clay Carns, who were killed in the line of duty in 2024. Both Thompsen and Carns died last year as the result of injuries suffered in traffic crashes.
