State Sen Napoleon Harris Out As Head Of Insurance Committee
(Springfield, IL) — State Senator Napoleon Harris is out as the head of the Illinois Senate’s Insurance Committee. The Sun Times reports the Flossmoor Democrat’s departure comes after he became an investor in an insurance brokerage last year. The former NFL player claimed there was no conflict of interest. It is unclear whether his insurance side venture played a role in state Senate President Don Harmon removing him as chairman of that committee for the new legislative session.
