Secretary of State Hosting REAL ID “Pop-Ups” at Central Illinois Airports
(Springfield, IL) — The Illinois Secretary of State’s office is hosting a series of REAL ID enrollment “pop-up” events at central Illinois airports this month. The events will encourage residents to get a REAL ID prior to the federal deadline. Starting May 7th, 2025, the Department of Homeland Security will require airline passengers to present a REAL ID to board a domestic flight or enter federal buildings and federal courts. The events are being held today at Quincy Airport, November 14th at Peoria International Airport, and November 21st at Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport.
