Macon County Jail Inmate Escapes, Quickly Captured
(Decatur, IL) — A Macon County inmate is back in custody after escaping from jail. Authorities say Bryan William Johnson was on a work detail inside the jail yesterday when he was able to access an exterior door while the officer supervising the detail was distracted. He was located less than two hours later in an apartment in the 12-hundred block of North Church St. in Decatur. Johnson was returned to the jail and booked on the charge of Escape.
