Deputy Who Killed Massey Was Discharged From Army For Misconduct
(Springfield, IL) — We’re learning more about the former Sangamon County Sheriff’s deputy charged with murder for the killing of Sonya Massey. Military records show that Sean Grayson was previously discharged from the U.S. Army for serious misconduct. Army officials won’t go into details about the misconduct charges, citing privacy laws. Grayson was working at the Fort Riley Army installation in Kansas when he was discharged in 2016.
