Road Across Lake Shelbyville Dam Closed Due to Maintenance
Lake Shelbyville – The road across the main dam at Lake Shelbyville will be closed starting 8:30 AM
Monday, July 8th thru 12:00PM on Tuesday, July 9th
. The closures apply to both vehicle and
pedestrian traffic, access to the Dam West Overlook will also remain closed.
These closures are necessary to provide safety for workers and members of the public while
work is being conducted. The closure is a result of a water leak along the main dam roadway near
the cemetery.
The Corps of Engineers recognizes the impact of road closures on the general public and
apologizes for any inconveniences it may cause. For additional information, contact the Lake
