Illinois Men Charged For Actions During Jan. 6 Capitol Breach
(Washington, DC) — Two southern Illinois men face felony and misdemeanor charges in the January 6th U.S. Capitol riot in 2021. Justin LaGesse and Theodore Middendorf of McLeansboro were arrested this week by the FBI in Illinois. Prosecutors say both illegally entered the U.S. Capitol building through a broken window next to the Senate Wing Door. After leaving the Capitol, LaGesse and Middendorf berated police officers before using a flagpole to break a large window of the Capitol.
