Illinois Population Down Again

Illinois’ population is down for a tenth year in a row.  New estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau show the state lost nearly 33-thousand residents between July 2022 and July 2023, trailing only New York and California in total population decline.  Illinois has just over 12-point-five-million residents.
