African Cat On The Lamb for Weeks Now In Custody

The African cat on the loose for weeks in Macon County has finally been caught. The Macon County Animal Control and Care Center shared on their Facebook page over the weekend that the serval was captured between Forsyth and Maroa Saturday and is now in animal control custody. Officials say the serval will remain with animal control while legal issues regarding its possession are addressed. Animal Control says the animal will not be euthanized. The serval has been on the loose since the middle of October.
