Illinois Honors Firefighters
(Springfield, IL) — Illinois is honoring firefighters throughout the state. Governor Pritzker and State Fire Marshal James Rivera joined firefighters yesterday for the 30th Annual Fallen Firefighter Memorial and Medal of Honor Ceremony. Six firefighters were awarded the Medal of Honor, the highest award given by the State of Illinois to a firefighter for an act of outstanding bravery or heroism. The tribute also remembered fallen firefighters.
