Champaign Man Sentenced To Life For Murdering Two Danville Men
(Champaign, IL) — A Champaign man is receiving a life sentence for murdering two Danville men. A Vermilion County Circuit Court judge sentenced Nicholas Trimble to life in prison after he was previously found guilty of first-degree murder in the shooting deaths of Rafael Arevalo and Omar Roman. Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul says Trimble arranged a meeting to buy cannabis from Arevalo in September 2017. During the meeting, Trimble shot and killed Arevalo while he and another person attempted to take the cannabis by force. Trimble and the other person then opened fire on Roman.
