Woman Charged In Death Of Macoupin County Toddler Pleads Guilty
(Macoupin Co., IL) — The woman charged in the death of a Macoupin County toddler in October is pleading not guilty. Ashley Bottoms entered the guilty plea yesterday to one count of involuntary manslaughter. Authorities say Bottoms was breaking up a fight between two juveniles on October 20th when she threw three-year-old Hunter Drew. The child died after hitting his head. Bottoms is accused of driving around for more than three hours with Hunter in the vehicle without getting help.
