Stabbing Suspect Shot By Police In Decatur
(Decatur, IL) — Decatur police are releasing video of an officer involved shooting last week. The footage shows officers firing at Steven Hirstein on March 30th as he bursts out of the bathroom of a home in the 400 block of East Orchard. Authorities say he was armed with a knife at the time of the shooting. Officers were called to the scene on a domestic violence call. Hirstein was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
