Pregnant Woman Killed In Decatur Shooting ID’ed
(Decatur, IL) — The Macon County Coroner is identifying the pregnant woman killed in a shooting that also left a four-year-old wounded in Decatur. Janiah Thomas and the child were shot Wednesday in the 13-hundred block of North Woodford Street. The woman died at the hospital, while the toddler’s injuries are non-life-threatening. Decatur Police confirmed that Thomas was 26 weeks pregnant. The incident remains under investigation.
