Man Fires Gun At Police In Springfield
(Springfield, IL) — Bond is set at one-million-dollars for a man accused of shooting at police in Springfield. Authorities say officers responded Saturday night to the 700 Block of South English Avenue on a report of an armed person. When officers arrived, a man fired a gun in the direction of police. The gunman then barricaded himself inside a home. Clayton Brewer was arrested after officers deployed a chemical irritant. He was charged with aggravated discharge of a firearm, armed habitual criminal, and armed violence.
