Decatur Man Charged In Springfield Shooting
A Decatur man is charged in a shooting in downtown Springfield this past weekend. Carlos Leyva was arraigned yesterday with one count of aggravated battery with a firearm and one count of aggravated fleeing/eluding of police. Police say Leyva shot a man early Saturday in a parking lot in the 200 block of South Fifth Street. The victim remains hospitalized in stable condition.
