Champaign Teen Shooting Victim Identified
Champaign Police are investigating a Friday night shooting that left a local teen dead. On Saturday, the county coroner identified the victim as 18-year-old Nizeri Carter. According to police, Carter was shot in the eleven-hundred block of Elm Street and died just after 8 o’clock at Carle Foundation Hospital. No suspects have been identified in the homicide.
