Charges Filed After Man Hit By Vehicle And Attacked In Peoria
One man is facing multiple charges after a person was hit by a vehicle and attacked in Peoria last month. Police say the incident happened August 22nd in the 300 block of Wayne Street. The driver left the scene afterwards and the victim was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. The victim told police that he was hit by a vehicle, before the driver attacked him and fled the scene. The driver was identified as Jaylan Appleberry, who was arrested Tuesday in the area of John Gwynn and Richard Pryor. He is charged with Aggravated Battery, Armed Robbery, and Hate Crime.
