Three Firefighters Hurt In Rockford Church Fire
Three firefighters are recovering following a fire that damaged the oldest Catholic church in Rockford. Authorities say the blaze broke out yesterday morning at St. James Catholic Church, causing about three-million-dollars worth of damages. The firefighters are being treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Church officials released a statement saying the fire may have been caused by a lightning strike, but the official cause hasn’t been determined.
