Eighth Person Dies from Wrong-Way Crash In Northern Illinois
A father has died days after a wrong-way crash in McHenry County killed his wife and four children as well as two other people. Authorities say Thomas Dobosz [[ DOE-bush ]] and his family from Rolling Meadows were headed for a vacation in Minnesota when their car collided head-on with a wrong-way driver on I-90 in northern Illinois early Sunday morning. The two cars burst into flames. Dobosz’s wife and four children were killed as well as the driver and a passenger in the second car. Dobosz was hospitalized with serious injuries until he died yesterday. Police are investigating why the other driver was headed the wrong way. Autopsies are scheduled in the next few days.
