Cleanup Continues Following Flash Flooding in Central Illinois
Cleanup continues across central Illinois after heavy rains led to flash flooding yesterday. The flooding turned some roads in Decatur into small rivers. City fire officials say they had to help several vehicles that had become stuck in underpasses from the flooding. Underpasses tend to be the first places to flood, even after heavy rains have only begin falling. One tree was completely uprooted in Harristown. Ameren Illinois crews have been busy repairing downed lines and restoring power across the region. No injuries have been reported.
