Sangamon Co. Sheriff Deputy Honored For Heroic Efforts
The Sangamon County Sheriff’s office is honoring the heroic efforts of Deputy Travis Koester. Officials say he forced his way into a burning building last month on South MacArthur Boulevard in Springfield. He was able to rescue two elderly women from the burning building. Fire crews then put out the flames.
