Central Illinois Mother and Son Sentenced to Prison for Marijuana and Money Laundering Conspiracy
A Springfield woman and her son will spend time in prison for taking part in a marijuana money laundering conspiracy. Jennifer Fisher was sentenced last week to 14 months behind bars. Prosecutors say she helped her son, Courtney Johnson of Decatur, in laundering drug proceeds to expand a drug operation and fund his travel. Fisher pleaded guilty in February and Johnson pleaded guilty in May. The son was sentenced to seven-and-a-half years in prison.
