Salvi Wins Primary To Face Duckworth
Kathy Salvi is set to face incumbent U.S. Senator Tammy Duckworth this fall. The Mundelein attorney won a crowded race for the Republican nomination to take on the first-term Democrat from Hoffman Estates in November. Duckworth ran unopposed. Salvi is the wife of former state representative Al Salvi, who ran for the U.S. Senate in 1996, losing to current Illinois U.S. Senator Dick Durbin.
