Coles Co. Nurse Resigns Over Controversial Social Media Comments
A Coles County nurse is stepping down following backlash over controversial comments made on social media over the weekend. Officials at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health in Mattoon announced that an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse posted a discriminatory message on Twitter. The nurse apologized and resigned from her position. She tweeted that she would refuse to prescribe certain medications to white males who voted conservative.
