Former Illinois Legislator Sentenced To Year In Prison In Embezzlement Case
Former State Senator Thomas Cullerton is sentenced to a one-year prison term in his embezzlement case. A judge handed down the sentence today in Chicago federal court. Cullerton pleaded guilty in March to ghost-payrolling with the Teamsters Union. He confessed to improperly getting 248 thousand dollars from the union for doing no work.
