Macon County Sheriff Launches App

Macon County Sheriff Jim Root is launching a new smartphone app. The app will serve as a new way for the Sheriff’s Office to connect with Macon County residents and visitors. Users will able submit a tip and access a resource map, inmate search and more. They will also be able to receive notifications about local weather, road closures due to accidents, and planned construction.
