Pritzker Signs Legislation to Further Combat National Opioid Crisis
Illinois is taking further steps to address the ongoing opioid crisis. Governor Pritzker signed several pieces of legislation designed to prevent overdoses and provide easily accessible treatments. Health officials say there were just over three-thousand deaths due to opioid overdoses in Illinois last year. That is a slight increase from 2020.
