Champaign Police Hosting Employee Awards, Memorial Ceremony This Week
The Champaign Police Department is hosting two events this week. The Champaign Police Employee Awards Ceremony will be held tomorrow to honor the efforts of officers and civilian staff members who have performed exceptionally during the last year. On Friday, the Champaign Police Memorial Ceremony will honor law enforcement officers from around the world who have died in the line of duty. The department will pay a special tribute to Champaign Police Officers Thomas Dodsworth, Robert Tatman, and Christopher Oberheim, who paid the ultimate sacrifice while serving the Champaign community.
