State Fire Marshal Raises Awareness About Arson

The Illinois State Fire Marshal’s office is raising awareness about arson. Officials say municipal fire departments in the United States responded to an estimated annual average of more than 52-thousand intentionally set structure fires from 2014 to 2018. These fires caused an estimated 400 deaths, 950 injuries, and 815-million-dollars in property damage each year.
