Kinzinger Proposes Measure To Allow U.S. Military Intervention In Ukraine
Illinois Congressman Adam Kinzinger is proposing legislation that would give congressional authorization to President Biden to use U.S. military force in Ukraine if Russia uses chemical, biological or nuclear weapons. Speaking on CBS’ “Face the Nation” yesterday, the Republican U.S. Representative said the measure would send a warning to Russian President Vladimir Putin as he pursues war with Ukraine. Kinzinger also said he hoped there would be broad congressional support for Biden’s proposal to provide humanitarian and military aid to Ukraine through September.
