Mattoon High School Shooter Sentenced For Violating Original Sentence
The 2018 Mattoon High School shooter is going to prison for 25 years for violating his juvenile sentence. Now 19-years-old, Josiah J. Lyons was 15 when he wounded one other student in the shooting at the school. Lyons was sentenced to juvenile detention until the age of 21, but was released early. He’s heading back to prison after he was arrested in late-2021 when he failed to register his new address.
