Due to the forecasted frigid temperatures on Saturday, organizer Jim Wrigley has announced that the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade, originally scheduled for Saturday at 11am, has been moved to Sunday, March 13th at 12 Noon.
As was the case last year, this year’s parade will feature vehicles only, with no walkers in attendance, however, Wrigley assures attendees there will be an abundance of candy tossed to the crowd along the usual parade route in Downtown Decatur.
In spite of the parade being moved to Sunday, the annual party at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Decatur, (The Hall at 520) is still scheduled for Saturday afternoon and all are invited to attend for a rousing afternoon of fun for old and young alike.
If you have any questions, or still would like to participate in the parade, contact Jim Wrigley at (217) 685-0696, or by email at jwrigley@koehlbros.com.
