Pritzker To Give State Of The State Address This Week

Governor JB Pritzker will deliver his State of the State address this week.  The speech will take place at the state capitol on Wednesday.  The address will be delivered in-person after last year’s was given virtually due to the pandemic. Meanwhile, Governor Pritzker is launching a new program to get students ready for a career in construction.  He announced a ten-million-dollar investment in the Illinois Works Pre-Apprenticeship program earlier this month.  Grants have been released to groups statewide.  Grantees are already recruiting a diverse group of participants and are expected to help more than one thousand people get a start in construction.
