ISP Reducing Backlog Of FOID Renewals

Illinois State police are making progress with reducing a backlog of FOID renewals.  The backlog reached nearly 139-thousand in November 2020.  That number is now down to 78-hundred.  The ISP is also currently processing FOID renewal applications in 38 calendar days, well below the 60 days that statutory mandates require.
