Woman Dies In Christian County Crash

A woman has died after a crash in Christian County.  The crash happened Saturday on Illinois Route 104 at James Street in Bullpit.  State troopers say a preliminary investigation indicates the woman veered into the oncoming lane to pass when she hit a tractor causing her vehicle to catch fire.  She was pronounced dead at the scene, but her identity hasn’t be released. Twenty-two-year-old tractor driver Steven Mann Jr. was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.  The crash remains under investigation.
