The Illinois Department of Transportation is announcing some improvements to its winter road conditions website.
The 24-hour-a-day online resource, “getting around illinois dot com” will now display conditions based on reports from more than 120 IDOT snow and ice team sections around the state. Spokesperson Paul Wappel says this will give users a better feel for local conditions.
