A new bill may allow Illinoisans to sue people who create or use fake COVID-19 vaccination cards. The bill was filed Monday in the state House by sponsor Ann Williams. The Democrat announced the filing, saying the proposal is similar to a Texas law allowing citizens to sue for the enforcement of what she called a “draconian abortion law.” The bill is one of three filed by state House Democrats invoking the precedent in Texas of using civil action to enforce state law.
