Shelby County Sheriff Sean McQueen is resigning to take on another position. McQueen submitted his resignation letter Monday, naming November 5th as his last day. He was appointed to fill the vacant position only 44 days ago by the county board. McQueen says he plans to appoint Undersheriff McReynolds as interim Sheriff.
