For a second month in a row, legal adult-use cannabis sales in Illinois have decreased from the previous month. For August, there was $121.9 million sold, a drop of nearly $6 million from July sales. September sales released this week showed another drop to $121.7 million. But, since January this year, there’s been nearly $1 billion in total sales, eclipsing all of last year’s sales of nearly $670 million. Taxes on cannabis can be as much as 40 percent.
