Police are confirming that the body of Jelani Day has been found. The LaSalle Coroner’s Office has identified the male body found in the Illinois River earlier this month as Day. The Illinois State University graduate student had been missing for about a month. The cause of death isn’t known, with toxicology testing still out, but police say the death is “unusual” as the investigation continues.
