The Illinois Republican Party Chairman is responding to Governor J.B. Pritzker’s announcement that he is running for re-election in 2022. Don Tracy questioned Pritzker’s leadership in handling the COVID-19 pandemic, calling his record a “failure.” Tracy criticized the governor’s actions in closing down in-person education in the state, and for failures by the “incompetent” state unemployment agency. He also accused the governor’s administration of “tragic mistakes” that led to the deaths of 36 veterans at LaSalle Veterans Home.
