New Illinois Law Cracks Down On Wage Theft

A new state law cracks down on wage theft.  Illinois Department of Labor Assistant Director Jason Keller says the legislation increases the damages against employers if they haven’t paid workers fairly.  Some examples include not paying minimum wage and not compensating for overtime.  The law goes into effect immediately.
